I have to give my trial level oral argument tomorrow and I am so. not. prepared. Surprised? (you shouldn't be). All I want to do right now is kick back and drink a beer or maybe a strawberry daquiri. I've done all my reading for tomorrow (well, most of it) so if it weren't for this thing I would have the whole evening off :(
A few times a week different employers host receptions for the first years so that we can meet people in the firm and so that they can make a "good impression" for during Fall Recruitment. But, in reality, the receptions = free food and an open bar at super nice restaurants and bars in the city. And if enough people go you don't even have to bother talking to the attorneys. Anyway, there's a reception tonight, but I'm not going :( I wonder what would happen if I just completely ad-libbed my oral argument...? I could really use a free dinner.
