The main kennel guru at the shelter I volunteer at, Animal Rescue New Orleans, has hurt his back. This man, Jackie, works 12-hour days 7 days a week (all the workers there do), so the poor dogs are in serious trouble without him.
They need assistance from any able-bodies to walk dogs, feed and water dogs, and help clean out cages, kennels, and runs. They are all sweet and (mostly!) well-behaved dogs.
Please, you are really needed to come and help at this no-kill shelter, even just for an hour or two.
271 Plauche St. (take Jefferson past Walmart; Plache is right before Red, White, and Blue, turn right, then the road curves right, then make a left at the other street named Plauche).
Please contact me and I will give you a run-down so you know before you go there.
