as some of y'all may know, last saturday, we made history. as louisianans and new orleanians as a whole. not because of katrina related news (thank god) but because for the first time in our 40 year nfl history, we actually have a winning team!
yeah, it's hard to believe and digest. and even when you're watching the game- and staring at the black and gold uniforms- you still can't believe. that this is actually your team. your home team. the aints. well we're definitely the aints no more. (even if fox did have more than a few shots that showed the field lines as "aints." but that's a story for another day. hell, i can sum up that story: fuck you fox and rupert murdoch. i would even be happy if y'all do get fined for the t-shirt. you're still a bunch of douchebags. for the full story of the shirt:

anyway, sat. night was AWESOME! made HOMEMADE crawfish etouffee and chicken and sausage gumbo. depleted all my crawfish so will have to wait till i'm home for mardi gras to get some more. but it was all worth it. everyone at the party ate like pigs and we were in a food coma for the rest of the night. to make things better, pam, ms. pats fan herself, helped me scrap off the go pats on the cookie cake to create our own saints cake for the night.
so of course, i'm already thinking ahead. to this week. and what's going to be on the menu for the saints v. bears showdown. po-boys and king cake will definitely be on the menu. and maybe some chicago dogs. served with a side of humble pie. who dat?
