Maidstone and Medway Cat Show
We had a very mixed Maidstone and Medway Cat show (including interesting experiences with the satnav that my colleague Paul had lent to us to find our way through the backstreets of Rochester and Chatham) but the main and most important news is that the cat in my default userpic, Premier Inazuma Heslet Quillan (aka Quillan the Villain aka Quill) won the neuter male Grand Premier class in his section (don't ask - just take it from me that there are a lot of breeds in it), and the Grand Premier Challenge Certificate - which means he now has three from different judges and subject to confirmation - and the arrival of a medal - from the GCCF, he is now Grand Premier Inazuma Heslet Quillan. Seeing as when he started his career, Singapuras didn't even compete against each other in open classes and were merely awarded merits saying the cat agreed with the standard, and he has gone through getting Intermediate Certificates, with Championship status only awarded a couple of years ago, we are very pleased with him, particularly as he was at his best at about two years old, not now he's nearly six and a veteran.
