And, in complete contrast, we came across this shrew on a pathway in Chigwell Row Wood, and had to secure the LDD, then get the thing to stop sitting there in full view of all passing dogs and encourage it to run into deeper grass. When I first saw it, I thought it was a dying butterfly. (Obligatory bad but interesting photo.)
