So in case you missed it, Alex won the heir poll :D
Claire had been looking online and found an awesome place to rent. She invited the other losers her siblings to join her. Lily and Mitchell were in, but Alex decided stay with her parents.
Moving day came, and Alex wished her siblings well.
Lily was still sore about losing the heir poll though and refused to hug her sister goodbye.
WEDNESDAY!
Roll 3.6 - She's Simply Irresistible: All female sims on the lot must max out their Charisma skill within the week.
Alex was so glad to be home with her piano once more. She loved playing more than just about anything.
She'd missed her mum while she'd been away at Uni. The two caught up over chili.
The always cautious Jayne went with "Research".
And boy, did it ever pay off!
Now that she was grown, Alex decided she needed a space that was her own; her parents let her makeover the Twilight Room.
She loved it.
Now that she was no longer a vampire, Echo was dismayed at how quickly she started aging once more.
To cheer herself up, she stolled over to the telescope and... yup, got abducted AGAIN.
Jayne: "Wow, you must be besties with those guys by now since you visit them so often!"
Echo: :D
Being unemployed for the time being had it's advantages. Alex had lots of time on her hands to go out and mingle.
She met lots of gorgeous sims like Shiloh (charterzard)...
and Ida (bunheadsbuns).
She also ran into a familiar face, Pear (tinykat), who'd she'd always had a bit of a crush on.
He hooked her up with a new TV and promised to stop by some time.
She tried new food...
..and gave stand-up comedy a whirl!
She went to clubs...
and had a ton of fun.
She tried karaoke one night...
where she met Myrtle (slyndsey).
Her friend Norah (trappingit) set her up on blind date Jake (brilliantcat).
As it turned out, Norah's gay-dar was completed busted; that was the last time Alex would let herself be set up!
She briefly dated several handsome men including Addis (drderange)...
Sven (leenyland)...
and Rory (oannapantso). She liked them all, but Alex didn't feel that any of them could be 'the one'.
She found that when her mind wandered it often led her to thoughts of Pear. She decided to invite him over.
As she knew in her heart that they would, sparks flew between them.
Sure, he was a little older than her...
...but she didn't mind the age difference.
Pear didn't seem to mind either ;)
Oh my!
As the day drew to a close, love was definitely in the air.
Claire: "So, judging by the grin on your face I'd say that Pear got high marks all around, huh?"
Oh! I almost forgot... here's Echo with her elder makeover.
Pear: "The cat's staring at me, isn't she?!"
Pear: "Awww, she's a cutie!"
Alex was stoked when Pear agreed to stay the night.
But all that shagging in the hot tub wore them out, and they quickly fell asleep.
Echo was still used to sleeping in the day and staying up at night. She used the time to work on her charisma.
Jayne used the time to rock out, as usual XD
He never seemed to get the hang of putting himself to bed by 7am though.
Pear and Alex, both completely smitten, snuck in a quickie before breakfast...
...becoming besties in the process.
Later that day, Alex shyly asked Pear if he'd like to move in.
He quickly agreed!
Roman (boolpropbea): "Yuusssssssssssssssssssssss!"
Jayne: "Pffft, like we need the money. We're loaded, in case you forgot."
Roman: "You hear that Hailey? We're loaded!"
Pear and Alex just couldn't get enough of each other!
Alex: "So..."
Alex: "What do you say to a little afternoon delight?"
OMG, such a cute elder :D
By this point, Echo getting herself abducted was becoming old hat. The family each found something to do while they waited for her to return.
The unsightly fellow had the gall to drop by, so he got a makeover.
Meh, at least his eyebrows match his hair now!
Echo eventually came back.
Awww, cutest worried face ever!
Pear and Alex went off to "celebrate" Echo's retun.
Alex was so happy, she thought she would burst.
Soon, Roman was feeling better and told Pear his suspicions of the origin of his flu.
Alex joined them a little while later.
Pear: "Alex, I've been thinking..."
Alex: "Yes?"
Pear: "I know we haven't been together that long..."
Pear: "..but I'm in love with you. Will you make me the happiest sim alive and be my wife?"
Alex: "Of course I'll marry you!"
Alex: "Oh, it's PERFECT!"
Pear: "What? Did you expect either of us to be anything other than ecstatic? Shame on you!"
Alex: "I'm so happy right now, I have something to say too."
Alex: "I think I might be pregnant!"
Neither could be happier.
They went upstairs to "celebrate" some more XD
Meanwhile, downstairs the mood was more sombre. Hailey's time had come.
She was mortified to die while taking a dump.
The Bries were heartsick to see her go.
But life went on.
After FREAKING YEARS of striving, Jayne FINALLY reached the top of his career path.
He retired the very next day.
His co-workers gave him a lovely parting gif to play with.
While Echo and Roman did not have the energy they once had, they were still as adorable as ever.
A few days later Alex's suspicions were confirmed. The fifth generation of the Brie family was on it's way!
