(no subject)
You know your work is really running low on staff when this happens:
I'd called in sick this morning. But, then about 10 mins ago I got a call from one of the girls (she's a team leader, so not yet a manager, but higher than crew). She's like "what you doin?" I reply saying I'm sick, so I can't work. She's like "how sick?" I'm like, "well, my mum, who's a gp, reckons it could be tonsillitis". "Tonsillitis," she says, "that aint that bad. Come on, you can still come in. Please?!? I need you. You can't do this to me!!!" It was actually rather amusing.
