Sucky Day, But Not As Sucky As It Could Have Been
I caused an accident today. It was not fun. I hurt my car, hurt the other guy's way more. Didn't hurt anyone, so that's a good thing. Lots of money will be spent. I have amazing friends, co-workers, and roommates who have shown so much concern for me, but mostly I have an incredible boyfriend and phenomenal parents who have taken the best care of me. My parents actually drove here as soon as they heard to help me figure out what to do with the car AND brought me snacks and Diet Pepsi and laundry detergent and muscle relaxants from when I got rear-ended a couple of years ago. "Hey, Mom and Dad, I busted the car." "That's okay, we brought food and drugs." Whose parents do that??? I could not be more grateful for the amazing and kind responses to today's events. No yelling, no blaming, just lots of love and support and "It's going to be okay" being told to me. And it will. :-)
