So I have just signed up for facebook & I like to think I am a fairly intelligent woman however I am just not getting it. Mind you I was totally busy today at work and didn't get a lot of time to play today - any tips or tricks I should know about? Are any of you on it? How do we add each other as friends?

To add somebody as a friend, you can just search for them in the little 'search' field at the top left. Take a look at their picture, and look at their friends to make sure it is the person you think it is! Then click on 'add to friends' next to their profile! They will get a message and confirm that they actually know you

I just got so frustrated with it that I bailed LOL - I am trying to find people I went to high school with - I cannot join the network I guess because I am not in high school anymore but it is making me feel dumb enough that I think I need to return to get a lesson from one of the cool kids on how to use face book. I used to be so up on these things....

Ok now that I have your tips perhaps I will try again.

Yeah.. you could do it that way, but like you I find the networks thing to be a bit confusing! I pretty much just search for people's full names (if I remember the names).. and do it that way. Or else you could try searching for your high school and only look at the 'groups'.. you might find it that way.

I think the other problem (at least this is what my sister told me) is that our High School is no longer - I did manage to find a few people i know so from there I am hoping to find more!

When you go to the search box, click the little arrow that is to the right of it. That will give you the option to search for classmates by high school name and grad year. :P

Search for me and add me if you want. I'm Melissa Blythe and I use the same picture as this icon. :P

Cool I will try that tomorrow from work - I have been on the road a lot at work & just don't have my internet time allowance when I actually have to work LOL.

I did manage to find a few good old friends that I cannot wait to hear from. I will add you in the morning - hopefully I don't get slammed at work & have time to screw around :D
