So the wedding plans are moving full steam ahead - in the past few days I have found, paid for & ordered my dress. I won't have it for another 4 - 7 months as the store needs to order it from the designer, the designer makes it then sends it to the store, then I go in for a fitting then alterations are done then I finally get it.
We also decided on our cake - very simple 2 tier butter cream icing - no fondant for me thanks! I also decided on silk flowers for the bouquets, boutineers and corsages, I've ordered them too. Bit by bit we are getting closer.
The weather in this area keeps getting worse & worse, last Friday night we had a major wind storm, the tree's around here are huge & listening to them blow in the wind sounded like waves from the ocean crashing onto the shore. We also lost power which was no fun. This past Wednesday it snowed & snowed - we got about a foot & a half.
It really scares me what we have done to this planet, Eastern Canada & USA are having the warmest winter on record & Western Canada & US are having the coldest. Mark was watching TV last week & heard some story about how we are supposed to have the hottest summer yet next year. I am wondering if it'll be another late start & then be killer hot again this'll be the 4th summer in a row like that.
Here's a couple of links
1) Stanley Park a huge park donated to the city of Vancouver a long time ago has just been ravished with this shitty weather. This is just one of many local parks that have been hit, if you scroll down 3/4 of the way you can see some pics of the destruction
