That's so nice of you, be careful what you wish for! Have you seen that show on the life network, Bridezilla's? Ha ha ha. Your first mission should you choose to accept it is to find:
1) A location for a ceremony (non denominatial) 2) A location for the reception that has: it's own tables & chairs, a kitchen, enough room for 110 people for dinner & dancing. Where they do the set up & take down of the tables & chairs. Will allow us to bring in our own booze and own catering. That's in a "West Coast" environment. Close to the ceremony location with Hotels near by.
So far we've looked at the hall at Peace Arch - right setting but it looked small, the bathrooms were in a different building so I need to take into consideration that it may be raining that day, some of my realatives are in their 80's I don't want them walking outside in the rain if any one fell.....
There is a place in Burnaby that I have been to for another wedding really nice but you do the set up - which I don't mind and the take down yourself which is the last thing I want to do the day after my wedding.
The 3rd place is in Port Moody - I don't even know the name however - I went to a 50th b-day party there & it was the right setting but I have no idea if they set up the tables & such.
It amazes me how many websites there are on getting married but non that are "private" ones. I think I am going to see if there is an LJ community where I could get ideas from.
