dillo day 2005
The last dillo day has come and gone, and it was a blast. It was mostly a chill day hanging out with Hari and Bryan and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The night before I went out to Flattop and Nevins with future U of I law school students in the area and then got drunk with them at Nevins. There definitely is a lot of personality with those folk and it will be a very interesting three years to say the least. I had two long islands and 2-3 beers and was pretty messed up when I got home, just in time for my roommates to get me to go out to a party. The party was slowing down, but I smelled weed and yelled out "Someone's smoking some serious weed in here!" outloud. On the way home I decided to run through a sprinkler and fell on the ground too. That and I was yelling "Dillo Day!" to every stranger I saw. But that was only a precursor to the day to come. On Dillo Day itself we started drinking around 11 and left to go to the lakefill at around 2-2:30 ish. I was randomly pointing and yelling at people "You were the chosen one!" "You were supposed to bring balance to the force, not leave it in disarray!" Oh wow was it sweet. Hari has a movie of me doing it to someone, and it will be on the net soon. We recharged and got pumped up again for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic who were awesome I thought and definitely brought the funk. Then people hung out over here afterwards for a while and overall it was a great time. A great end to a great college career.
