After research into the scientific aspects of CSI NY I found that more than most of the science they use is viable if not older than by decade or more. Despite those findings I also found a good amount of information that showed that based on the show’s “inventions” scientific boundaries were changed and advances were made. So other than public assumption in the extremes of disbelief or blinded belief of the technology there is a suitable middle that CSI NY in particular exemplifies in regards to their portrayed crime scene investigations.
