It's easy to forget terrible things when life goes on as normal, but when innocents die, they're gone forever, and people remember for quite a while. In some ways, that's a good thing.

Not forgetting people is a good thing, sure, but forgetting the close calls is stupid. Those're supposed to be how you learn.

Most people on Earth can't accept how close they come to planetary annihilation on a weekly basis. I can't really say I blame them for that.
