On the home stretch now, people!
I have finished four finals (grammaire, contruction of a european union, sociology, and my stage) and my last one is tomorrow (economics). The grammaire one was not bad, nor were construction of a european union and sociology. The stage was not too difficult, but it was me writing a paper which ended up being 28-pages. Talk about a lot of writing.
It is so weird because time is almost done here and while I am excited to return to the States, I am going to miss this life and the people here so much. It will be odd not to see the 71 students every day and talk with them and complain about classes, etc. However, it has been odd not seeing my sisters around town and knowing all that is going on in everyone's life...as one does at a small university. I miss not being able to talk to my family every day (yes, I am a nerd), but I also will miss my host family and the food that they serve to me (which is good, by the way).
All in all it will be very bittersweet to leave, but I know that one day, I will return.
So, I think that I am just about done with my holiday shopping, which would be nice since I only have two days left to do it (Friday does not count as I will be in the skies the ENTIRE day). I have a couple of little things left to get, but nothing about which I am super concerned. Just little gifts here and there that I should be able to find tomorrow if needs be (due to finishing finals at 12h00 and then having a wonderful lunch with my two of my friends tomorrow at a wonderful restaurant to celebrate the end of a great semester) and after I see how much room that I have left in my suitcases. Interesting times ahead...
I have three weeks before returning to the university, but I won't be sitting still any of those days. When I am actually home, there will be laundry, unpacking, repacking, more unpacking, more repacking, again more unpacking, again more repacking, and repeat those last two steps one more time each. This means, obviously, that I am traveling a couple times during the three weeks and just enjoying time with my family before driving half-way across the country to return to my sisters and friends.
All right, I probably should go review for a few minutes before going to do a little more shopping and then having an apertif avec mes amis. Donc...si je ne peux pas parler a vous avant noel, BONNES FETES!!!!
