HUMP DAY
I tried to post an entry yesterday before I left work and when I posted I got this message saying Live Journal was in read-only mode due to updating...bladeeblahblahblah and my entry went away. That was a pisser.
I am currently tuned into The Current radio station (thank you MagicWoman and Sansimeongirl) and I am liking the mix. Today the station is having their very first pledge drive -- so I shall pledge some $$ to support the cause. It would be great to have a radio station worth listening to here in the Twin Cities.
Yesterday I signed up for Myerscho's on-line 3-D Paper Mache Dress class and I am very pysched about this! I was feeling so inspired when I left work yesterday to go home and get into the studio, but when I got home, I ended up eating left over chinese, followed by too many girl scout cookies, and then promptly fell asleep on the sofa watching Cold Case Files. So much for creativity. Anyway, I woke up in time to watch QE and, well, I really didn't care for the guy at all. I did think it was hysterical though that he and his brothers were named Alexander, Socrates, and Aristotle (I thought Socrates and Aristotle were hotties!!). And I am all for sensitive males showing their feelings, but, I dunno, there was something a little forced about his show of emotion. Almost like he was trying to be the actor and was summoning up the tears but I just wasn't convinced. However, take this with a grain of salt and pepper as I do have a tendency to be cynical and jaded even in my recovery.
Well, I have ton of work to do and am feeling less than motivated at the moment. But, if I am going to be doing the next right thing here I best get to pushing the paper, or at least try to push it.
