There's an artist, Nathalia Edenmont, who kills cats, mice, doves, rabbits, and other animals, mutilates their bodies, and then takes their photographs. She's on exhibit, among other places, at the Wetterling Gallery in Sweden. She has taken the top halves of five white mice and made them into finger puppets. She beat a cat to death with a stick.

theres not even a point debating this whole thing, i mean you have to admit this whole thing is sick. what if she did that to dogs? wouldnt you be infuriated? its one thing to kill a chicken for food, its another to kill a cat and remove its head to call it art. its so disgusting.

"... but i doubt a person with the mind of thinking its okay to put cat's heads up on display and call it art would actually find the best way to kill the thing."
^ that makes absolutely no sense and is completely and totally wrong. it just doesnt make any sense.
i never said it wasn't sick. if you read what i wrote before, you would have already known that. i said i thought it was wrong, but that she put up a good arguement with what she said. i wouldn't go as far as to say i was "infuriated", because animals are being killed everyday. yes, even cats. maybe not for a "valid reason" in ur opinion, and maybe not in the US, but what's the difference? oh yeah, i forgot- it could have been your cat. but lets say i was "infuriated", i wouldnt be any more "infuriated" if it were dogs. why? because either way, its an animal. it's still wrong.
here's a question- you're against abortion. well you're also not too fond of jews. if a jewish woman had an abortion? would you care any less?
p.s. if theres no point in debating, why are you posting sites to go against this woman?

I think you're right in saying that an animal is an animal, and it shouldn't matter. I agree with you. I'm just as angered by the pictures of chickens as I am by the pictures of cats. Wow, that sounds really stupid. But I think it may be the cat heads that made Erin think the most. Those were the pictures that hit home for her, and I think that that's okay. I also think that the same people would be just as upset by mutliated sheep or cows as the sliced 'n diced pets.
And, I dunno, but something about this "art" irks me a lot. I KNOW how cruel fast food companies are; I KNOW that make-up brands test on animals. But those are businesses, you know? This woman calls herself an artist. It's my belief that art shouldn't be physically painful. I don't care if it depicts images you don't like, and I don't care if it's supposed to make you think, but it shouldn't cause real harm, you know? Maybe I'm crazy. So it just seems sort of wrong, especially when this woman could be doing all this digitally if she really wanted to. Hm. It's just not necessary, and it's kind of gross. Maybe if she didn't call it art, I'd just call her a sick fuck. Nah, I call her a sick fuck because she DOES call it art. Whatever, I'm not making any sense now. Ramble ramble ramble...
