And no, it's not for Voldy you crazy ass people.
Anyway.
*ahem*
Dear you-know-who,
I totally understand how you feel, since I was in your position a year ago.
I'm not gonna tell you to stop your studies and come back here coz
(1) it's a waste of time
(2) it's a waste of effort that you've put in thus far
(3) it's a waste of money (yes, I can be practical too)
(4) all the "sufferings" for the past few months will be for nothing
I can't tell you whether the friends there are true or not because I've never met them. And yeah, you might not keep in contact with them anymore after you return. Nobody knows. Not every single friend you meet can be a true friend you know.
A friend is simply someone who is there at the right place and time. They're your friends now because they keep you entertained, occupied and not as lonely as you would have felt if you have no one. At least you'll have someone to talk to over there. Maybe when you're back here at the end of the year, it's no longer the right time and place anymore. Then those people will cease to be your friends and will then become acquaintances. But will you really be upset if they become mere acquaintances? Not a lot of people will stay with you throughout your life. That's why true friends are rare and few.
And no, you're not a 0. Like you said, even if you really have nothing, at least you'll have your parents. And I'm certain that they don't amount to nothing in your heart.
What I'm going to say is, just hang in there. Maybe to you it's not "just 3 months". 3 months may seem long to you from where you're standing. But if you change your perspective, the 3 months may not seem so long after all? After these 3 months, you would have
(1) gained a degree
(2) know that the money and effort that you've put in for the past 6 months or so is not in vain
And most importantly, you will know that you're strong enough to achieve what you want and to "re-learn" how important certain people are in your life.
What you want to do after your exams is then totally up to you. To come back here immediately or to stay for the graduation, I'm sure you'll have the answer yourself then.
Hang in there and stay strong.
