I looked out onto my back porchlet today (it's not really a porch... or a patio... just a bitty square of concrete) and saw that my neglected herb garden from last year (in one of those strawberry plant pots) is growing chives like crazy. WTF?!
I don't even use chives when I cook. Like... EVER. But that *would* be the one thing that just started growing merrily away when I'm not looking.
Anyway. Today I'm planting my Chia herb garden... I'm determined to have fresh basil this year, dammit. Last year I did, then I went away for a week and when I came back it was all dead. Before I even had the chance to use it. *sigh*
