that was amazing!!!
Howdy yall!
Just to let eveyone know, I had a solo in our spring concert, "Lamb of God" and I didn't suck!!! =D Our concert was this past Friday night and it was a hit I think.
It was no nerve wracking though because my choir group sang for 3 hours straight. Theres 3 chois in our school district. (as of next year, there will only be 2) But in order from least to greastest (as in talent) Mixed Chorale, Concert Choir, and Chamber Ensemble. Mixed only had 4 songs, Concert had 8. (theirs plus Mixed) Then we had over 20 pieces of music. (ours plus all of the othe choi songs) Some were difficult. The most fun of the entire concert was the Rent medley we did and Aida. Both of those are fantastic muscials!
Anyway, I was nervous for my solo because I never properly hit the notes right during practice... But I ended up doing a good job! Or so I was told. Miis Cole, who doesn't hand out compliments often said "I love your voice for this song." =)) Woot! Sean, who has been to many competitions said, "Carissa thats the best you've ever sounded..." Hellz yea I'm getting better! All in all, althoguh I was dead tired after, it was a great concert.
Also last week I bought myself a chastity ring, and also one for my friend Kevin. He truely has opened my eyes to the church and the lord. Although he and I have differrent religions, he in a way has saved me. I wanted to return the favor. He loves the ring but as he said, "He loves me more." =/ That bothers me a little. Well, a few days ago I told some people I made the pomise to stay celebate... Not nessecarily till marraige per say...but not anywhere near now. Now I haven't turned into a nun, I still sin. Just not as much. lol
Let he among us (popints to Kevin) without sin, be the FIRST TO CONDEMN!
Oh yea... I only work at Hoss's now. Olde women now work at the church in my place. I was getting paid 11.30 an hou instead of 10... I'll miss that easdy money. I got laid off because I'll be a senior and buzy so they decided to just put me on the sub list. *sigh* bye bye pay checks...
Well... I don't feel well and I got a picnic to go to tommorow. I don't have school so "Group 6" is getting together. Group 6 includes my girlfriend Sara, Chrystie, Will, me, Kevin, and Colin. Its amazing! Though next year Will and Kevie won't be in chamber, we're going to attempt to stay really close. I hope weather permits.
