Boycott the Grizzly
If any of you aren’t aware on Friday night the 27, early Saturday morning the 28, a 20 year old man, Mike Brophy was killed at the Grizzly bar in Nanaimo after an altercation with two men over moving a ball on a pool table, thinking no one was playing. This angered two men who began beating on the man. The grizzly bar staff dragged the unconscious man out the door and left him, who later died as a result of his injuries. The grizzly was shut down pending the investigations but appears to be reopening this Thursday.
I am sick to my stomach that the Grizzly can leave an unconscious man to die and not be held accountable. The RCMP may allow the Grizzly to reopen but the RCMP can not make us support the decision.
I am asking for everyone to join me in boycotting the Grizzly, and send the message that this irresponsible behavior, leaving an unconscious man to die, will not be supported.
