The soap topic that's taking over the globe...
So there is this Columbian soap opera called "Betty la fea" (a.k.a. Betty, the ugly one) and it's about this girl who is "ugly" and is discriminated at work (and other places) because she's not a perfect 10. Well it started with that, then it moved on to Mexico where the new show was called "La fea mas bella" (The most beautiful ugly one), and then to Germany, India, Isreal, Russia, and of course Spain where it's called "Yo soy Bea" (I'm Bea, but it also rhymes with fea which is ugly and bella which is pretty, quite clever).
My problem is not with the show...it's what they are doing with the actresses that play Betty, the ugly one. They are basically taking these actress and "uglying" them up! Why not say...give the role to an actual normal person? I'm saying the difference is crazy!
They had to give her a fat suit and all...->
There are plenty of girls who look like the girls on the left! Why not give them a chance?? Like me!! waaaaaaaaaah! What's sad is my middle name is Beatriz, so technically I'm Bea/Betty...cause they're both nicknames that come from that.
