(no subject)
So lately I've been feeling worried, confused, basically down. But that's not important because suddenly, tonight, I'm explosively happy. Things went really well today and I think they're gonna keep going well, which is even better.
You know what's better than doing flag work? Writing it. You know what's better than writing it? Writing AND performing it. Musical Ex = <3<3<3.
Shopppping this weekend! I need an Esmeralda costume and pies, otherwise I'm set for HOMECOMING WEEK YAAAAAAAY!
I wrote a personal statement to add to my JMU app last night and edited it today in English (because that was our assignment). It's gone from being a professional-sounding (read: semi-bland) explanation of how I love studying languages, and why I want to teach ESOL, to being a more interesting tale of what I basically call a metaphorical love affair with languages. If you're interested it's up on scribblermonkey, which I promise to plug as little as possible. The point is it was really fun to write.
On another note, I reallyreally want to do DCI someday. I was planning on doing it this summer, after graduating, but then realized that a) I probably wouldn't get a Beach Week, and b) it'll probably be the shortest summer I get already and I'd rather spend it with people I won't be seeing for a while than on a bus with flags traveling wherever. So, I wait till next year, no problem. Except, it's not like I can wait forever.
Also, Maggie now has a list of my 30 favorite songs that all make me reallyreally happy.
