Barrett's Place
So in the midst that everything that could be that is... I finally just had the best 7 hr get away from it all. I was notified at the beginning of the year that I was gonna get a community service grant which meant that I'd have to do 40 hrs worth of community service over the course of the year. Well I recently decided screw that... until... i got an e-mail. The first ever playground was goin to be built over the course of 5 days in Pendleton in the honor of a little boy's name.. Barrett. Comes to find out Barrett's older brother was loading a gun and it went off killing him. So today in honor of this little boy I never knew and for a community I never would have expected to become involved with, I worked side by side for 7 hrs in the rain and muck making something amazing come true. And it feels so good to be able to say that I did that. I'm so touched by this purpose and these people that I've already committed my entire tomorrow to it as well as half of my Sunday (gotta sleep in at least once seeing how it is the weekend and all). So yaaaahoo for me and yaaaaahoo for them... this weekend is going to be the best I'll ever have since this will keep my mind off you... and yaaaahoo for that.
