Death of a Friend
My friend, Jim King passed away in November. Not many people will
know him, but he was the webmaster and online presence for everything
The Wire and Homicide: Life on the Streets related. Those of us in the
Wire community did not know until recently because the Wire is over
and out list doesn't get must traffic.
He was the man responsible for the petition that got the Wire seasons
4 and 5. He was also the man who introduced me to David Simon and
gave me alot of feedback when I was working on my thesis. In essence
he was someone who really understood the message of The Wire and its
importance.
He will be missed.
