Wow. This is very well done. So much truth here. I have to say I am also bi-bro and love them both so much. I can see both of their viewpoints, and can identify in certain ways with each of them and with certain aspects of their situation as individuals and together as a team. You really would do us all a big favor by writing Sam's POV, I'm super interested to see your take on that, as I think you nailed Dean's so well here.

You know, I honestly think that there's nothing left for Dean to do but leave. He needs to go his own way and do what he needs to do, and take himself out of the equation with Sam so Sam can also just get on with his life, which will diverge from Dean's completely. This will never happen on the show, I think fandom would go insane and the writers would never let this go down, but it probably should, and the separation would be good for them, at least for a while. I identify with Dean so much in this fic. When someone who has been through what he has with Sam finally sits still, REALLY thinks things through, comes to some hard realizations and gains clarity on the situation, then the answer is obvious. Sometimes things happen that are an absolute sea change in a relationship with another person and you simply cannot go back from there. When a person truly reaches the end of their rope and very calmly checks out of a situation like this, it's. truly. over. Ask me how I know.

Oh god, that is such a wonderful comment you left me. I feel the exact same way about what Dean is left to do. there is nothing for him to hold on about Sam. And what they had now is so unhealthy and... just unfair damnit, especially when Sam threaten Dean to "move on or I will" I just couldn't react you know?

If Dean was to leave on the show.... I honestly think Sam would be relieved. And it kills me, where is the guy claimed that he "couldn't leave his brother out there"? *sigh*

I poured a lot of experienced emotions in this piece and I'm blasted that you get them so well so ps: How do you know?
