Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll try to write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

let's call the whole thing off, a few hours later

"So," Wally says. They're back on the Watchtower a few hours later. Batman's on monitor duty, and Wally could have gone home by now, what with the day saved and all, but -

"Yes?" Batman asks. These days Batman says whole sentences to him sometimes, sometimes even looks up at Wally from the monitor. It's kind of exciting, and terrifying, which isn't all that different from most of Wally's life as a superhero.

"Everyone else is gone," Wally says. "I thought, you know, maybe we could..."

Batman's jaw tics. Wally has to wait a whole two minutes for Batman to turn and look at him, which is almost unbearable, but worth it when Batman all but smiles at him.

Although that's also flat-out frightening. Maybe Batman has more teeth than normal humans, or...

"You thought," Batman says, "That as we're alone, we could... continue where we left off."

"Well," Wally says. He rubs at the back of his neck. "Sort of, yeah."

"Hm," Batman says. "You realize, of course, that I take monitor duty quite seriously."

"So do I!" Wally says. Batman raises an eyebrow, which Wally shouldn't be able to see because of the cowl. "I mean, I..." he sighs. "It's important. Monitor duty. And... and saving the world, of course. But it's just, I want..."

Batman stands almost faster than Wally can see, grabs him with both gauntleted hands. "Tell me," Batman says.

"When we were, you know, pretending to be married and all - I know it was just for a little while, but I thought up the names of our kids, what our favorite restaurants were, where we'd had out first date."

Batman breathes out sharply, and licks his lips, and grips him just a little harder. "You," Batman says. "You want..."

"I don't want to just pretend is what I'm saying," Wally says.

Batman kisses him. It's kind of like when Bruce Wayne kissed him, but a little sharper, a little more like he doesn't want to stop kissing Wally, even though the world could be in peril or - something.

Wally opens his eyes, and checks on the screens. There's nothing that can't wait for a minute or two.

I'm sorry I took so long to reply to this, BECAUSE THIS IS ADORABLE. <3333333 I love how Wally is so nervous, and how Bruce is so BRUCE about the whole thing (like, kind of a dick but also basically THE NICEST PERSON ALIVE). I just adore how they interact here, and adore how adorable the whole thing is. Thank you so much! :D
