how often does a fish get to taste the finer cheeses?
i got back from boston yesterday.
rundown:
1. i spent the weekend at philips exeter academy where my brother attends secondary school.
2. i met the husband of his adviser (she is the russian teacher) and he works on what he calls the "gray market." i'm not really sure what that entails, but he told us great stories about working on communist farms back in mother russia. he told another story about smashing the heads of two women together and almost killing a man. he also had lots of rings on his fingers and a gold chain.
3. i watched boondock saints and realized that movie sucked.
4. my brother, his friends and i played the line game and annoyed lots of people. (the line game is when you see someone walking and then a group of five or so immediately follows the person. the person at the back of the line will run to the front and so on. you can tell the character of this person if they play along and run to the front of the line once they are in the back. unfortunately, there are not too many people of character at exeter.
5. every time i saw someone i didn't like i yelled at them "i banish you to beggar’s island! BEGGAR'S ISLAND!" (i am not quite sure what that means.)
6. in boston, i stayed with j.b. and was surrounded by berklee music students. it got sort of tiring.
7. eric, one of j.b.'s roommates, kept putting shit porn on the television and made their italian roommate, carlo, look at it. (this particular one involved injecting shit into someone's dick with a turkey baster. hottt.)
8. we watched this weird chinese porn that came with penthouse hong kong that was set up like a game show. it was in chinese with some non-english subtitles, but it was pretty easy to follow along because of the game show sound effects and such. it was completely bizarre because before the girls had sex, they measured the diameter of their nipples and matched the inside of their love tunnels to paint chips.
9. i saw a mob kick-back in the north end.
10. i saw the grave sites of samuel adams, crispus attacks and ben franklin. i also saw a homeless man sleeping in a tomb.
11. fishing with john is the funniest show of all time.
12. i sent postcards to all that asked.
