Today is my 20th birthday. I feel old and immature simultaneously. I think that is the definition of 20.

This is the best thing I learned about Alaska:

In 1964 on Good Friday, an earthquake measuring 9.3 on the Richter scale hit Valdez, Alaska. The quake lasted over five minutes basically eliminating the town, which was built on silt deposits of a nearby glacier. School was not in session on the holiday and many people were down in the marina of Valdez. The earthquake caused a huge tidal wave and when the ocean hit the marina, 37 people were killed.

Twenty-five years later on Good Friday in 1989, the Exon Valdez spilled. It dumped billions of barrels of oil, killing wildlife and leaving the area dead. Needless to say, Valdez, Alaska does not have any churches.

Here are some pictures from Alaska, The Final Frontier.

This piece of floating ice was about 25 feet across

this is one of many landscape pictures of “Alaskan Beauty.” All the others are ways too big to post.

speaking of vanity. . .

oh, I saw House of 1000 Corpses last night at the ghetto dollar theater. It was the best environment to see the movie because
--------a. everyone was yelling at the screen
--------b. a bunch of people brought their young (even babies) kids.
--------c. it was a dollar fifty.

The best thing ever yelled was “why don’t you brush the grass of you?” as the lone survivor of the movie was stumbling through a scary field.
