Todd's mom refinished a dining room table for us, and it is GORGEOUS. I am in love with it. It is a matching set with our buffet and china hutch, which we've had for a couple of years, but Laurie had the table. Now we have the set, and it is so awesome. First, I am ecstatic about having a real dining room table to begin with. Its beauty is like icing on the cake.
Our tables, which are hand-me-downs from my parents, look simply hideous with it. They are that awful country style with the upside-down U back with vertical slats, and they are white and "natural" wood, which is not a look I'm into. I am hoping to spray paint them brown over Spring Break, which will help a little. We will not be getting the chairs that go with the table for a little bit, and when we do, there's only 5 of them, so we'll probably keep our old ones.
