I've been writing a bunch everywhere else that I'm writing, but haven't posted here in a few days. It's the start of the July 4th weekend. I just posted
a cycling article about my town, and high speed rail coming, and I started my morning with a trip to the farmer's market. Kevin took the dog for a long walky-walk on his bicycle. I just heated up a bunch of leftovers for lunch: salmon and pea pods that I made when we had company; roasted chicken and potatoes with fennel, garlic, lemon, and rosemary; and some of the steamed farm share I made last night to go with bacon tofu: our first summer squash and zucchini of the season, some young onions I was experimenting with by steaming, kohlrabi and a tiny bit of broccoli.
Raspberries are producing right now, and I posted about that in my food blog. I'm looking out my window right now at our bush, which I could go pick right now and get another pint.
I'm hard at work on some fiction for an anthology, and then back to the story I was working on first, for another anthology. If you are psychoanalyzing
my Facebook feed, you may see that I am excited to be creating content in areas that interest me, to put in my portfolio, but not uncritical of my current markets, and preparing to enter more profitable ones.
This guy says you should keep your goals to yourself, but that's only if the high of virtual achievement makes you complacent. I'm a performer, addicted to writing and showing off. I've worked through some important aspects of a writing life before and am confident in my abilities to discern useful knowledge, write well, and work.
