I didn't do the, um, dying thing and all the... *waves a dismissive hand* ...but sacrifice is a difficult thing to get if you haven't been there. And you're even making me think I haven't been there.
OOC: Wow. What an awesome prompt. Randy wanted to offer a sympathy hug so, yeah.
I kinda wish I hadn't done the dying thing. But hey, you do what you gotta do, right? And if you're lucky, they bring you back. I'm sure you've been there. Everyone's been there. Don't let all my big talk make me feel any lesser about the things you've done. Everything happens on scales, and it's all relative. So you've been there. And I'm sorry for that, 'cause it's hard. It's always hard.
OOC: Squeee! Yay for you being here and getting to interact with Randy! Thank you so much for the compliment. Buffy is very grateful. I have not had a chance to reply to your reply in the Tammys due to the above mentioned bad, bad week, but I wanted to let you know, I have two other muses here in TM who will gladly play with Randy anytime. prettyandtragic is an OC Slayer named Lauren who is a student at UCLA and studying anthropolgy and forensics, and pretty_girl is Brooke Davis from One Tree Hill, who is in LA as well. I also have Kate Austen frm Lost, but I play her canon to the island, so she doesn't do much RPing outside of the canon Lost peeps. I have a longer list

Yeah, well, my dad always said that things were difficult because they were worth it. And he was never wrong. Of course, if he could see some of the stuff I get into these days, he would just laugh and shake his head. He thought he was raising a rock star and I've now been on two separate continents trying not to get into trouble and failing miserably.
But at least it was the good kind of trouble.
OOC: That would be completely awesome. Randy doesn't do a lot of RPing simply because he spends most of his time writing prompts (neurotic as he can sometimes be), but that would be cool. I've got nothing going on for him right now except for that I'm sort of toying with the idea of getting him a girlfriend so he might actually go outside. Who knows. He does what he wants and I just follow him around, LOL.
I think it was my mom who said that kind of thing to me. My dad was mostly absent, right up until the time he ran off with his secretary. What exactly is it that you do, that takes to these different places?
...There's a good kind of trouble?
OOC: Sure thing! Like I said in the other thread at the Tammys, I'm a huge fan. Lauren and Brooke are both spoken for, but I've been really wanting to get Buffy involved with someone for awhile now. I've had her for a year now, and she has yet to really soark a relationship-type relationship with anyone. We could possibly set them up just to see how their chemistry would work. Nothing forced or plotted out, but we could just set them in place and then see where they go. Kinda like wind-up toys. ;)
Well I don't actually do much of anything. I'm an intern with the LAPD. It's just that sometimes I end up in the wrong place at the right time. Or right place at the right time. Or something like that.
There is in my philosophy of life. Sort of.
OOC: That would be sweet, if you wanna go that route. I had an NPC I was sort of developing but she's not quite coming along like I would've hoped. And I think Randy just needs a social life in general, to get out and see daylight. *G*
Sounds like a pretty dangerous line of work. The though the wrong place at the right time, or however it usually works out, that's probably on purpose. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in coincidence at all. But I do believe some people are more prone to destiny than others.
Which is good or bad, depending on how you look at it.
OOC: Yay! Perfect. I don't know if you'd have a good reason to stick him in NYC or not, but I'm about to post up a thread for Buffy and Gwen and subsequently anyone who likes to come out partying it up in NYC at a club. It's Friday night, most of the people going so far are broody superheroes who mostly forget how to have fun, and one of them is burying her mom on Sunday. So there will be drinking, dancing, music, meeting, and lots and lots of socializing if you can find or want to make a reason to have him hop on in! ;)
Well, my specific line of work involves moving filing boxes and doing research. It's only when I'm working with a friend of mine, who's a detective upstairs, that's when sometimes things get crazy. Is it destiny? I don't know. But at least I'm helping people.
OOC: Works for me! Randy was in NYC for the Tammys, but he has like no real staunch timeline, so I can just have him pop in. Probably dragged by his sister most likely, she's the clubbing one. He'll be the guy sitting in the corner thudding his head into the table...heh.
