Leia was exhausted by the time she'd returned to Fandom. She almost didn't want to come back, but even though the rebellion had won a major battle, the base on Yavin 4 had been exposed, and the leaders needed to scatter and regroup later. Even Luke had agreed it would be better for her to go back to Fandom for her own safety, for a little while at least. He was already taking the role of Protective Brother very seriously.
She'd checked the date when she'd reached Fandom -- it had only been just over a week since she'd left. She was never going to get used to the time differences. The days in her home galaxy seemed conveniently to move faster while she was there but slower while she was in Fandom.
Her capture and torture, Alderaan's destruction, finally meeting her twin and the man she was allegedly supposed to marry (like there was any chance in hell of that happening now due to him reverting back to his true colors after she'd personally decorated him as a hero of the rebellion, not that she was seething with anger about that at all), the Battle of Yavin 4, and a couple long nights talking to Luke were all weighing heavily on her as she made the walk to the dorms, wanting nothing more than to just collapse on her bed and sleep for a week. Then maybe she'd actually let herself mourn.
[For one in particular, but if anyone else wants to run into her walking to the dorms, sure!]
