When Leia returned to her room after class, she found a message from Winter waiting, insisting on an update on Fandom. She'd sent a brief message to Winter and her parents immediately after she arrived to let them know she was safely there, but she'd been putting off a more detailed report home because she wasn't sure what she should say. Claire was kind of bored so she was planning to wander down to the common room. The open door caught her attention though and she peeked in, recognizing the girl from Ethics class. "Hi, there," she said. "Claire Bennet. We have Ethics together."

The one class that didn't include introductions, of course.

"Leia Organa," Leia said, smiling at the girl. "Come on in."

Claire entered the room and found a spot on the floor to sit down. "Are you settling in okay?"

Leia drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. "Mostly," she said. "When is my head going to stop spinning?"

"Well... I'd say that depends on when and where you're from and if you ran into people you know who aren't exactly the people you know, people who know you and you're not sure how or people who look like people you know but aren't them."

All things Claire had to deal with when she first arrived.

"How about meeting my supposedly dead father, my daughter who's older than me, and my nephew, the son of a twin brother I didn't know existed?" Leia said. "I'm not sure why I'm not running around screaming yet."

Claire winced a little. "Mmm, yeah, that's worse than I had," she admitted. "I ran into my supposedly dead uncle who was about eight years younger than he should have been and my supposedly dead biological father."

And failed to save them from that same fate again, but she wasn't going to get into that with a stranger.

"There were also people here who knew me because apparently a me from another universe went to school here a few years ago."

"The 'another universe' thing is hard to believe," Leia said. "And the time travel. But part of me just knew it was right when they told me who they were."

"Yeah, there are a lot of things here that are hard to believe," Claire admitted. "Where are you from?"

"Another galaxy," Leia said. "Far, far away from here. The same one Master Skywalker is from." She looked at Claire to see if she'd do the math.

Claire did the math, yes. Which was why her eyes were nearly bugging out of her head. "He's your father?"

Leia nodded, hugging her knees closer. "He told me after class. I've always known I was adopted, but as far as I knew, my birth parents had died right after I was born. Sounds like we have something in common."

"Oh, wow," Claire said. "I always knew I was adopted too. But I didn't know anything about my birth parents until a year or so ago when I decided to find them. Oddly enough, I had met my birth father's younger brother and didn't realize who he was and had NO UST with him, honest."

Thank the Force Anakin didn't have any brothers.

"There are no words in any language I know to describe this place," Leia said with a tiny smile. "It's insane. How long have you been here?"

"Yeah, I think we need to invent some new words to describe Fandom," Claire agreed, smiling back. "I got here last May, so about eight months."

"Does it get any easier to handle?" Leia asked. "I've already been told that hypothetical children show up after the prom, and won't that be interesting."
