[Death is quite excited to finally get to meet this Susan she's heard so much about. How odd that Riddler is the member of the "family" she has actually encountered before.

She's wearing her standard grin as she arrives.]

Hello!

[And he certainly remembers her. He's not quite as wigged out as he was last time they met. After meeting two different versions of Death, he's kind of used to it by now.]

Hello, Didi.

It's good to see you, Edward. I hope the town didn't do anything too terrible.

Depends on how you would define terrible.

But above all else, I'm still in one piece.

That's always a plus. It sounds like not everyone had that sort of luck.

Hardly.

They didn't harm you, did they?

No, I was fortunate. The town had no business doing the things it did to some of the others though.

Indeed.

[Heard so much about? What sort of things has Grandfather been telling you? As Susan moves on to greet the next guest, she coolly takes the woman in with a single glance and in the space of a half-second, decides that she approves. It's quite clear that the other Death is a horrifically upbeat, cheerful type, which she'd normally have no patience for. However, she's of the opinion that this is exactly the type of person best suited to coexist with her Grandfather.

Whether or not Susan will get along with her is of lesser concern.]

And you must be Death.

[Adorable things, she swears!]

Or Didi, if that's less confusing. Susan, I presume?

Miss Susan, please. You may have heard your share of uncomfortable stories about me, but I'm afraid I don't know anything about you.

[Well, Death can certainly deal with a level of formality. She's been Destiny's sister for an awful long time, after all]

It's good to meet you, Miss Susan.

[She pauses a moment to consider the rest]

You know, people very seldom ask about me. Not like that, anyway.

Is that so? It's a shame, but Conversation With Minor Deities simply isn't taught in the classroom anymore. Fortunately, I've had more practice than most.

I'm not a deity, I just... am. But yes, I can see how you would have a unique perspective.

Sorry for late; a lot of stuff came up. Feel free to ignore. deaths_heritor January 9 2011, 03:18:31 UTC
[Susan does not bother to point out that she knows Didi's circumstances quite well, choosing a slightly different topic of conversation instead.]

Unique, but likely not sufficient. It would be foolish to assume that you operate exactly like Grandfather.

[Death smiles at the memory of the first conversation she had with Death. Not what most people would end up discussing after waking up next to a skeleton.]

No, not exactly. We had a rather... extensive discussion about scythes.
