Of course Hoshi showed up even if her mun was about to head out the door she didn't know exactly what to say.

She stood in the doorway for a while before asking, "Are you sure you packed everything?" She might have hoped that he'd forget something and had to come back earlier than planned.

"Everything but Four-Dee here," Hurley said, the little droid beeping as it zipped up to Hoshi's feet.

"Was kind of hoping you'd take care of him."

"I'd be happy to take care of him," said Hoshi, smiling. She bent down to pick up the mouse droid. "I'm sure he'll keep Porthos amused."

"Awesome," Hurley said. "So, uhhh," he wasn't actually sure what to say. "You want anything from Santa Monica?"

"All you really have to bring back is yourself," said Hoshi, smiling. "I'll be happy with that."

"Oh man," Hurley said. "What if I forget to bring myself back with me?"

"Then I'll be really disappointed," said Hoshi, laughing. "Really, I don't need anything, except for you."

Hurley blushed a bit. "Are you doing the backpacking trip? I mean, Just trying to wonder if you'll be here when I get back."

"Oh no, I'll be here in Fandom when you get back," said Hoshi. "I figure that I'll have plenty of other adventures later on, but only one last summer in Fandom."

"Perfect," Hurley said. "That way I know you're not being led astray by, like, sexy French guys."

He was being a dork. A bit insecure of a dork, but mostly just joking around.

"You don't need to worry about sexy French guys," said Hoshi. "Maybe gremlins, but there's not a lot of French guys in Fandom."

"You might get led astray by gremlins?" Hurley joked. "Man, now there's something about you I didn't know."

"Not quite led astray, but I might think I'm a can-can dancer the next time I get bitten," said Hoshi.

"...dude that is not allowed to happen unless I'm here," Hurley said, way too amused at that mental image.

"See? All the more reason for you to get back here as soon as possible," said Hoshi. "Think about all the gremlin bites you'll miss! Of course, Annja and I usually try to tape the ones we come across."

"Hey, I don't need any more encouragement than you," Hurley said. And with that, he stepped over to try and kiss her.
