Aang avis_elemental Avis- latin for bird, a spell used to conjure a small flock of birds. I see birds as free creatures much like Aang...Elemental is a reference to his canon, as well as his affiliation with element based spells.
Axel incendio_octa Incendio- latin for "to set fire to", a spell that starts a fire. Octa- eight. Anyone see why I chose this name yet?
Apollo Justice polyjuistice OH LOL! Polyjuice Potion. Polly is is nick name...so really it's a play on the pronounciation of Polly Justice and polyjuice.
Haruhi Fujioka alice_androgyny Haruhi is often referenced as an "Alice in Wonderland" type of character--in fact the series itself played on this once. The androgyny is a reference to the fact that she can pass as a boy. :3
Riku starred_land You know....I'm pretty sure I chose this because it sounded good and all the other names I could think of were taken....
Sophie Hatter witchofwords A good majority fo Sophie's magic is word magic-- ie the spells come from her talking to things. Simple as that.

Yamamoto Takeshi batandtwoballs This one I blame entirely on Sair. I was like "I need a name." and that is what she gave me....it shouldn't work as well as it does o-o....
Kaname Chidori harisen_shot Kaname uses a harisen (giant fan) to hit Sousuke when he's being an idiot (which is often). The shot part is an allusion to the fact this is a military based anime :D
Sophie Hatter boundinwords . Haha bound--collars....lol. "In words" because well...that's how she talks life into things....shut up I thought I was clever :/
Sanji cook_of_love I was really surprised this wasn't taken. And anyone who knows One Piece shoudl get this one...I'm too lazy to type up a long explaination.

San wolfborn_hime Wolf born- a reference to her being raised by wolves. Hime- meaning princess, she is known as Mononoke-hime or Princess Mononoke to Lady Eboshi and her people in Iron Town.
Gokudera Hayato storm_dunamis Storm- the gaurdians of the Vongola family are identified by terms of weather, Gokudera is the Storm Guardian. Dunamis- it is written on his dynamite, and dunamis is a Greek word meaning a "power" or "force"--it is the root of the word dynamite.
Doumeki Shizuka oi_bento . Oh the standard greetings Doumeki gives Watanuki. I do so love them.

Gokudera Hayato dunamis_storm See the explaination for the name in Tortuga--man I am unoriginal.
Apollo Justice gotcha_justice "Gotcha!" One of the main catch-phrases in the Ace Attorney game when you percieve a witness's reaction correctly. The "justice" part is, of course, referencing his name.

Aang bendingquarters Bending- a reference to the act of manipulating the elements through a power known as, well, bending. Quarters- there are four main elements, as Avatar Aang can bend all four--therefore his power is divided into four parts, or "quarters."

Yuna bluegreenglass Blue and green reference her eyes, glass--another eye reference, often meaning those clouded or glazed by naivette.
Another Aang journal air_twinkletoes Air is Aang's base element. If not the Avatar, he would only be able to bend this one element. Twinkletoes--a nickname Toph gave him.
Another Yamamoto journal batting_puff Batting- a reference to being a beater. Puff-- a reference to being in Hufflepuff...yes he was previously in Squarewarts.
YET ANOTHER Yamamoto journal idiot_4baseball Yamamoto is often called an idiot becuase of his naive nature. When I was trying to think of a name for the journal that point came up and I responded with "He's an idiot for baseball!" and thus I had a name.
Klavier Gavin rocker_complex Rocker is obviously refernecing his second job of being in a band. Complex can either mean he has a complex of some kind, or that surfaces aside he is a complex character.
I know I didn't include all of the journals I have...but Imma feeling lazy now....let me know if you are really curious about ones not listed and I may add them.
