ACL 2009

I volunteered all three days of the festival with Rock & Recycle which was pretty fun.
Friday was the best volunteering day, and I got to see John Legend (he played a meh show) and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs which were fucking crazy. I sooo regret not buying a ticket.
I was at the R&R tent Saturday afternoon in time to watch Flogging Molly and Mos Def. I heard Ghostland was crazy awesome and the picture in the Texan looks like it was a bad ass show. Again, Damn.
But that night was Michelle's birthday party which was a grrrreat success. The party was so freaking cool with the black lights and our glowing jungle juice and highlighter tatts. ::big smilzz:: We still haven't cleaned the apartment, though. Fuck our lives. Our floors are nasty and there's still a bunch of trash outside.
OMFG SUNDAY
I volunteered on Sunday morning, so I got to see Black Joe Lewis who is pretty awesome and the B-52's. Everybody was dancing during their set, it was super fun.
Then I met up with Michelle who was already front row waiting for the Arctic Monkeys. I made it to about 4 people behind her. The people around me were super cool and the show was SO FUCKING COOL.
They sounded so much better than the last time I saw them and they are exactly what I wanted/needed to listen to at that moment. Complete win.
Finally, we walked over to the stage where Passion Pit was playing. They were pretty cool, but Michelle was determined to make it to the front, cuz she's a hoe like dat. We made it pretty close, especially when Passion Pit ended. I got hit in the head with a water bottle. But whatevs, I got water.
FUCK, Girl Talk was so fucking fun!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what else to say about that show. Except I wish there would have been a screen on the left side of the stage. That would have been sweet. But whatever dude, we totally rocked out that whole show. It was so epic. We were so close it was sick. Oh yea, and something about there being tons of mud.
Damn, I wish I was there right now... instead I'm so tired I can't open my eyes fully and I'm sitting at computer with a stack of data that I need to enter into a spreasheet wishing I could go home and download the Arctic Monkeys' new album.
