quiet aches intense
it's been a long few days...
got some overtime tonight at carrabba's. considering a normal wait shift is about five hours long, i DEFINATELY work too much. at least i'll have a much-needed, handsome paycheck!
i have been doing laundry for HOURS. am on my fifth (and final!) load.
did some extra work for a tv show. was AMAZED to find that everyone else actually thought that, as aspiring actors/actresses, being an extra would lead them to their big break and land them on some red carpet in l.a. these people were serious. it was all about, 'i know this person, i was on that show...' blah blah blah. why don't we name drop some more?!
rebecca and i spent q.t. tonight at old chicago. drank blue moons and shared a huge chocolate chip cookie that came out in a pizza pan (i know, GREAT combination). i am going to miss her a lot when i leave. i see a lot of myself in her. it would be fun to visit new york and have her show me around and have her come to nashville to see it through my eyes. we would appreciate each other's cities and their unique character, charm, and style.
we may have to halt the countdown, or at least slow it down. ALL FIVE of my living options in nashville fell through, so unless i find a residence in the next week, i have to push back my moving date. nashville friends: please help.
seems like SO many of my friends are married or engaged lately. it's odd, because up until months ago, i thought i would be the first one, that i had it all figured out. now, i don't know WHAT the HELL i was thinking! i had something good, and royally fucked it up, and ruined myself at the same time. how could i ever be in that 'place' where i'm READY?
the dryer just stopped. AMEN.
