Hi there. Fortunately I've been very lucky when it comes to members because I've hardly come across instances where icons of mine were credited, and the instances when that did happen, you guys have been very quick to fix it. And I'm happy with my comment count, so there's no worry there. The reason for this post is just to give a quick reminder to one of the 'rules' I have in my guidelines.
NO HOTLINKING.
While I do appreciate my icons being nominated or being "praised" or what-have-you, I really must insist that my icons or graphics not be hotlinked. The only instance when that is okay, is if you're linking them in this community. Say for example, in the post I have a few down where I asked you guys to post your favorite styles or icons. Or when requesting a tutorial for an icon, or if you're requesting an icon from a cap and what to give an example to what style to make it. In those cases, I'm absolutely fine with that. But if you're taking my icons outside of this community, you need to upload it to your own server. I have no issues with my icons being used outside of LJ (assuming you are still crediting of course), so long as you do not hotlink them.
That's all. Thanks for taking time to read that. I'm currently working on the banner post that should hopefully be up sometime soon, and also working my way through requests from the spam post. Take care everyone!
