suborbital JUST POSTED THIS OVER AT narnia_slash AND I HAD TO IMMEDIATELY RE-QUOTE IT OR WHATEVER BECAUSE OH MY FUCKING GOD:

It may also explain what appeared to be a candid hint from William that his sexual preference runs into areas which Narnia author C.S. Lewis, as a committed Christian, might have found uncomfortable. One can only imagine the headlines had Daniel ( Read more... )

YAY.

OKAY I AM SO DRUNK AND HAVEN'T SLEPT IN TWO DAYS, I'M SO SORRY IF I MAKE NO SENSE HERE AND IN ALL OTHER COMMENTS THAT I LEAVE YOU.

I didn't even WATCH the parts with Skandar or with anyone else because I was like *drags scroller* WHERE'S WILL DAMMIT WHAT DOES HE SAY. But I did watch a separate one with Skandar and Anna in those clothes and yeah, he did look so moody and uncomfortable, idk. ESPECIALLY when they were talking about the Susan/Caspian stuff.

AND YES GEORGIE TOTALLY KNOWS WHAT'S UP. And it's like -- okay this is crazy amounts of speculation -- it's like he decided just to drop a hint because he doesn't want to come out big time all dramatic, and Georgie knows that he's gay but also knows that it's being kept on the DL, so when he decided to mention it in a sort of casual way, she was like ?! "Is this okay??". IDK just her reaction, the kind of nervous awkward laughter between them both and the stuttering. If it was a total joke that didn't mean anything, it would have gone much more casually than that.

DO I MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL.

I COMPLETELY AGREE ABOUT THE GEORGIE THING. She totally gave him this look or looks, more than once) like, "Wait, do you realize what you're saying right now?" in a hey-I-know-you're-gay-but-no-one-else-does kind of way. The nervous laughter, Will's awkward pause, AHHH!! ALL OF IT IS SPECULATION, YES, BUT IT'S LIKE, SO OBVIOUS. BUT THEN AGAIN WE OVERANALYZE EVERYTHING AND WE WANT HIM TO BE GAY SO BADLY WE'RE MOST LIKELY IMAGINING THINGS.

But no, in all seriousness, it does seem like, kind of forward of the writers to outright question his sexuality like that, but it was also a bad sort of joke on Will's part if he was only joking. To make two comments of that nature with the kind of countenance he had (which, I'm actually rather impressed that he didn't start...IDK blushing or something. For an awkward situation he handled himself pretty well, I thought) seems like going a bit far. *waits not-so-patiently for him to come out properly*

And HAHA yes, Skandar seems so out of it and moody. Like the way he looked at Anna when she paused was totally like, "Yeah I'm not actually paying attention to any of this."

And I probably should have made this as a regular reply to your post instead of to a thread (and Jesus, it keeps getting longer) but I am in COMPLETE DENIAL about the girlfriend thing. Like, I know we're just deluding ourselves, but I am STAYING in my nice, happy, SLASHY Will/Skandar BUBBLE.

YES. It's sort of like she looked shocked, and then realised she looked shocked and tried to cover it up, but then didn't know how else to look because she had no idea where he was going with it and how she was supposed to be reacting, because she didn't know he was going to say that. And she laughs at the centaur thing, but then is like "..." waiting to see what else Will says.

Also she's kind of quieter than usual? I feel like from what I know of Georgie, that she might have chipped in at any time during those questions if it had been any of the other guys. Or joined in on the joke, maybe. But she just sits there like "wut".

And it's okay to overanalyse things if we're all doing it! Haha. I feel comforted by the fact that other people noticed the Georgie thing too.

Yeah, I can definitely see a straight person joking about that, but not carrying on the joke that far and then getting slightly awkward about it afterwards the way he did. And (just to overanalyse again) I could see a straight person being like "Of who? Caspian, or Susan?" and laughing and stuff, but it's the way he said "You should probably..." as if he actually feels like the question needs clarification before he can answer it. AND, it's especially weird because I don't even think that's what the guy meant, he just meant "are you jealous that they got a romance storyline and you didn't?" kind of thing.

LOL yes, about Skandar, he was so not paying attention. It's weird, in all his other interviews he wasn't like that, but in this one he's so bored/angry/whatever. I really don't know why, hahaha.

WE CAN BE IN DENIAL ABOUT THE GIRLFRIEND THING TOGETHER. *CLINGS*

OMG I'M THINKING ABOUT THIS WAY TOO MUCH. But. I was sort-of kind-of writing a little ficlet based on this, and I realized that this question doesn't make sense at all. So yes, I totally think that the interviewer was asking about the romance storyline (which means that Will brought in the "female centaur" bit when he didn't need to), because otherwise, he'd be asking if Peter was jealous of Caspian making out with his SISTER. (Not like that's news to us, or anything...) But then the only option that does make sense is that Peter is jealous of Susan for making out with Caspian. I LOL'd at this realization far too much.

(And yes, I also realize that no one looked into it this far when it happened, but I HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS. SOMEONE SAVE ME. STOP THE MADNESS).

OMG NO I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. That was kind of what I realised, too, and was going to say to someone, and then I realised that the speculation had died down. Like...ack, it's hard to explain, isn't it? But the interviewer basically means "So Anna and Ben got to do a romance storyline, are you jealous of them for getting the chance to do that?" (I'm pretty sure that's what he means, even though he's talking about it in terms of Susan and Caspian) so Will's reply should be something like what it is later, saying that he was really more interested in the stunts and stuff and doesn't really mind about not having a romance storyline.

BUT for some reason he decides to make this comment. Because like you said -- lol I didn't realise this bit -- if Will really thought the interviewer was asking who he was jealous of, he's either answering that he wants his character to make out with his sister or with a guy. Soooo, I think, basically, that it wasn't totally planned out on Will's part, but that maybe he sort of jumped at the chance to give a little hint about his sexuality there even though it wasn't demanded of the question. Does that make sense?

I kind of feel like that's how he's going to come out, if he does. *crosses fingers* I can't see him making a big sensationalist announcement, but I can see him making these little comments and maybe showing up to events with guys and stuff, until it's just sort of widely accepted OR he gets asked about it. OMG CLEARLY I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS EVEN MORE THAN YOU HAVE, WTF.

I'm intrigued about this little ficlet that you're sort of kind of writing. XD
