I feel like it's a good time for me to do that meme where you post snippets from unfinished fic that you have lying around. I have eleven, some are ones I'm currently working on, and some are completely stalled and/or ancient and I feel like they may as well be shared

Oh good god... You HAVE to write number 4. I'm not usually one to beg, except that I totally am, so PLEASE, PLEASE say you're continuing it! I absolutely love the premise. Maybe it's because Georgie is my age in it (well, ok, a year or two older, big diff), and I can put myself in her shoes and imagine Ben pining over me, although obviously I would NEVER be that pathetic... honestly, I wouldn't... yeah...
Anyway, it's perfect, and also THE NIGHT STARTS HERE sneak peek! I squeed out loud when I saw that. I love how they're just friends as always in it, despite the romantic/sexual change in status. Cos that's what happens when friends get together - I don't get why in fiction, the characters of the friends and their innate connection has to fundamentally change just cos they get together. Why can't the friendship stay just as it always was?
Anyway, yes. You made my day :)

The future orgy fic? Really?? Omg, I don't know. I wrote quite a lot of it (*checks* wow, 5000 words apparently) but it was SO confusing because of all the people. Like, somehow more confusing than the original fic, because I was trying to get across that they all still met up in groups occasionally but it was difficult to get everybody together. Idk, but it got so out of hand and seemed so unrealistic and then I gave up. Maybe if I end up writing an orgy fic sequel where Will P. gets involved, it might seem more possible? Because he is involved, in the future fic. Probably none of that made any sense

Well... if I'm completely honest with you, it's the older!Georgie/Ben aspect that I really liked. I mean, I know it was a peek at an orgy fic (which is definitely interesting, by the way), but the connection in that excerpt was really palpable between those two. The orgy aspect just wasn't on my mind, maybe because I was reading it out of the context of the entire fic and most of the interaction was between the two of them. Despite some of the direct references to the group situation, you could also read that snippet from the perspective of nothing having happened yet sexually. Out if the context of it being about the whole group, I found myself reading it as Ben being confused specifically regarding her, like for instance, he wanted her to be jealous that he has a family, or that he was checking the bedroom for signs that anyone had been in it, but it was needless because it was just his secret feelings for Georgie making him paranoid that his wife would want to know why she'd been in their room, even though Will being there too

It's weird, I wrote that long before shipping the two of them, and even now the idea of older!Georgie/Ben doesn't particularly interest me (like, that much older, anyway) but there is something about that particular scene that I like. I kind of like your misinterpretation, too! Now that I DO actually ship them, it's interesting to think about them in that context - Ben being married but pining after Georgie, and Georgie being friends with his wife and playing with his kids and stuff. *ponders* I think what holds me back from continuing the fic as a whole is that there's SO MUCH going on in it, because everyone is leading their separate future lives and it's a little overwhelming. But we'll see.

You could always use that scene in a new older!Georgie/Ben fic... You can have that idea for free... *innocent smile*

By the way, did you see series 5 Skins? They've officially lost the plot. But apparently Nicholas Hoult and Kaya are confirmed for the movie, so hurray if that's true!

I decided not to watch it. Like, I don't really feel any desire to anyway, and at the end of season 4 I sort of gave up on the show in general, you know? I'm not sure what to think about the movie, everything surrounding it has been so vague, and like...I'm sort of afraid to trust what they would do with it anyway. I would love to see Tony and Effy back together, though, of course.

I hadn't planned to watch it either, but it happened to be on when I was watching tv and curiosity got the better of me. I didn't even feel like I was watching Skins. Just dreadful. I won't be watching any more episodes. The movie... yeah, it could be really dreadful, especially considering the way the series has gone. I would only be interested in it if Tony and Effy are in it. If it turns out they're not, Skins is officially dead.
