So, I caught up on Skins finally.

I'm pretty meh about it. I'm not sure if that's because I feel pretty meh about everything lately, though. In general I'm just not particularly happy with the way the storylines are going and the way the characters are acting, but I'm going to keep watching.

Nick is totally the GOOD kind of douchebag though. He is miles away from Freddie. Freddie is just. Ugh. I probably wouldn't have such an issue with him if he wasn't with Effy. I think it's just that Effy is (or used to be?) so INTERESTING, and I hate that she's abandoned her whole personality for someone so dull. :(

I keep coming back to that bit last season when Freddie was freaking out over Cook having slept with Effy, and Cook said "Look, apart from those times when my cock is actually up your arse, you have no reason to worry about where it is the rest of the time." UH HUH. It happened pretty early on, second episode or so? REWATCH LAST SEASON. It was definitely better than this season is so far, anyway. I'm not sure if it's just me drifting away from the show, but like I said in this post, this season is so MEH.

But then, Freddie/Cook-wise, there's THE KISS to compare to. THAT WAS SO EPIC, I DON'T BLAME YOUR HEART FOR LIVING IN THE PAST. Best moment everrr. I wish the writers would develop that somehowww.

I was always disheartened with last season because where was TONY? Ugh, I just wanted Effy/Tony-ness even if he was never IN IT. djklsajd;lkj. I am still so hung up on old ships, JEN. WHAT DO I DO?

THE KISS. God, I cannot ever get enough of watching that scene over and over. We'll have to content ourselves with developing it in FIC. Somehow. Dammit, writers, give us something Freddie/Cook to go on THIS SEASON.

I hope they will. I feel like Skins is pretty good at giving people what they want, ship-wise. Like, they kind of give you ammunition for every possible pairing? So...idk. *crosses fingers*
