Can we just talk about the Skins cast for a minute, and how adorable they all are? I feel like we never got to see much of the old cast, although that might've just been because I never tried to (watch interviews and stuff) but...idk, these guys are awesome.
I might be a bit late but I only just saw the video of the NME shoot with Kaya (Effy), Jack (Cook) and Luke (Freddie), plus bonus Lily (Naomi). WATCH IT.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER REALLY WANTED TO WRITE SKINS RPF. Luke has more personality than Freddie! (Admittedly not THAT much more, but still!!) There are pillow fights and feathers and lots and lots of touching. Jack getting all excited about the trampoline and the glitter = awesome, "We've got glitter. We've got glitter and we've got balls." Luke cosying up to Lily is so funny. And I like that Jack admits that he and Cook are actually somewhat similar.
The whole cast spent six months in a hotel together in Bristol while filming! THIS IS SOME SERIOUS RPF FODDER, YOU GUYS.
Jack: "There's some people who don't wanna like Skins, 'cause of the fact that they re-cast. Fuck 'em." AMEN. I also love what Kaya says about how Skins isn't trying to tell people what to do, it's just THERE and you can think what you like of it.
SO THEN, THERE'S THIS. THIS INTERVIEW BETWEEN JACK AND OLLIE (JJ) WHICH IS JUST--*FLAILS* JUST WATCH.
Mostly, it's just sort of a regular interview, but idk, it's sort of made me fall in love with them? I love how Ollie corrects Jack's grammar (after Jack attempts to correct it himself, lolol, 'that reasons' to 'them reasons' is still not correct bb). And then Ollie starts telling a story and apparently the way Jack listens to him is to place his hand on his back, hold the microphone for him, and lean in and look at him all intently. AND THEN THIS HAPPENS:
This is Jack being all "Omg you have an eyelash!" and then telling Ollie to make a wish, and Ollie does, and then the best bit is when he goes all giggly and flustered afterwards and asklalkjsajdksa IT'S JUST SO ADORABLE, YOU GUYS.
Then of course there's all the behind the scenes videos on the E4 website here which I could really just ramble on about for ages. JACK TOUCHES EVERYBODY ALL THE TIME. HE IS LIKE COOK IN HIS TENDER AFFECTIONS TOWARDS HIS MALE FRIENDS, SRSLY. In particular, I love the behind the scenes of Cook's episode ('Making of Episode 2), because at one point Jack says "Cook warrants a beating or two at times, so...so I didn't mind taking it for him." And then he just CRACKS THE FUCK UP and goes "What the fuck??" and it's glorious.
And then there's the cake fight and everyone's adorable. Ollie eats cake off Megan's hair and shoulder, and Kaya's all "IT SMELLS HORRIBLE D:" and Ollie's like "But it tastes delicious :D" and OMG I COULD NOT LOVE THEM ALL MORE. ♥
ALSO TO TOP IT ALL OFF, I AM INTENSELY ATTRACTED TO JACK IN THE FOLLOWING PICTURES:
IT MAKES NO SENSE. As if my confusion over shipping the two characters I like the least wasn't enough, now there has to be some sort of attraction involved too? HOW DO YOU DO THIS, SKINS?! HOW?
