I'm (kind of)deleting this journal and setting up camp at blogger for the following reasons:
1. Their layouts have a much brighter, more open feel to them.
2. Their pages are more easily edited using HTML with a basic account.
3. I'm tired of my own whining. My new journal is going to be a more or less (hopefully more) whining-free journal.
4. I need a change. My life is going someplace new and I need a new place to write about it.
5. With blogger you can have multiple journals per account which are all easily accessible from the dashboard and have their own URL. So if I decide that I want to have a separate journal for all my slightly disturbed dreams and another for books I'm reading or something like that, I can easily do it. You can also make it so that any of the journals you create aren't visible to people checking out your account, but still hosted online and available to anyone who has the URL, which is convenient.
I'm planning on ripping all of my entries here and putting them on a journal on blogger and then making it invisible. So I'll still have everything here, it just won't be visible on my account. I wonder if LJ has an export feature that will put all my entries in an rtf file or something. That would make this process much easier.
So, yeah. I suppose I won't delete this account because I'll need it to visit my friends' pages and all the LJ communities. I'll just delete the entries and my profile, maybe.
