OpenOffice does lack a few of Word's nicer features (EndNote integration, I AM LOOKING AT YOU) but I've been using it since the beginning of the year and it's been just fine. Yay for open source.

Since you're this happy with Open Office, you might consider trying out Ubuntu as an open-source Linux-based OS, too!
