Sweets was in his office today prepping for a trial. Between phone calls from a certain Assistant District Attorney that is.

"Yes, Ms. Julian, I will use my grown up words."

"No, Ms. Julian, I will not wear my Galaxy Quest shirt in court."

On and on it went. But the door was open, at least while he wasn't in session.

Fred Dukes was over his headache, and he knocked on Sweets' door as he stepped inside.

He grunted in greeting.

"Fred, hi," Sweets said, waving him in. "How are you?"

"Eh," Fred said. "Got beat up by some freakin' roided goth girl."

Sweets blinked and leaned forward. "I'm sorry, what?"

Ino had, like, work and stuff but she figured that a few minutes to ask a question would be okay too.

Vida-san would probably be good about it anyway, and it wasn't like she didn't have class today besides.

"Hey," Ino said, leaning in the door. "Do you have a minute maybe?"

Sweets looked up from the file he was studying and offered a smile.

"Sure, come on in and shut the door," he said. "I'm Dr. Sweets."

Ino sort of shrugged at that--shut the door?--but slipped in, closing the door behind her, and sort of standing at easy attention.

"Like a candy?" she asked lightly. "I'm Yamanaka Ino--Ino's the first name. I'm a student."

As if he totally couldn't tell.

"Pretty much, yeah," Sweets said. "It's nice to meet you, Ino. Would you like to take a seat? Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, water?"
