After a long and illustrious MySpace career, I have decided that while social networking sights are useful for the promotion of someone with undeniable talent and star quality such as myself, it's no longer sufficient to just use MySpace and some branching out must be done. Therefore, I've opted to sign up for some of the other sites out there such as Facebook, Twitter, and of course: LiveJournal. While LiveJournal, unlike the other sights, is more for the blogger than performance artist, it is still useful in chronicling the thrilling tales of adversity of an aspiring artist such as myself, to be saved and later complied to fill my uplifting and inspiring memoir, tentatively titled The Metaphor of Gold Stars: The Rachel Berry Story. I'm anticipating it being a New York Times best seller.
Anyway.
This week I made a new friend in an unlikely place. Jesse was out of town so I spent a lot of time with Finn, who introduced me to his friend Morris who taught me a lot. I'm not going to get into it here, because I'm still learning from the experience, but I've volunteered to give him singing lessons, so we could spend time together. He helped put a lot of things in perspective for me. I'll always be grateful for that.
Other than that, I spent most of the week with laryngitis. Needless to say it was a rather unproductive week in the career of Rachel Berry but after a long week of vocal rest and copious amounts of herbal tea, I'm looking to be back action next week, better than ever. After all, the only place you can really go from rock bottom is up.

I miss Jesse.
