Why is harry potter so popular? because there is nothing else on tv or in the movies that is at all interest-inducing or original yet also comforting. hp is something. it's something. so i have read it. the themes from typical joseph campbell-inspired stories a la star wars were a little obvious, but it was just so something i can't help but appreciate it. i'm still holding out hope for snape!! like dumbledore i can't help but think there is good in everyone, excepting certain law school classmates of course.
i have to go to a dinner in maryland at the house of a partner, with a bunch of other partners and the summers and CRAP i think I forgot to tell someone i'm vegetarian...tho i have officially begun eating shellfish when necessary. am i a hypocrite? this is going to be so excruuutiating. particularly if meat is involved.
the penguin movie was cute, and most of all short. therefore: highly recommended!
i negotiated with a furniture store to give my parents a discount on another sofa set to replace the one they're not happy with. my mom said to me: "i knew there was a reason to send my bacha to harvard."
