Greg, being a normal boy who normally forgot things, realized it had been awhile since he sent an email home. So he quickly fixed that

Jamie? Yep. Still wandering.

And he wanders by Greg's door.

"Hey. Greg right?"

Greg turned and smiled over his shoulder. "Hey. Yeah, it's Greg. You're...Jamie, right?"

"Right. We met the other night when we were re-enacting shirtless Friday," Jamie said as though making the memory clear for himself. "How's it going?"

"Pretty good," Greg said, waving him in. "At the moment I'm trying to see if the water from the sixth floor waterslides last night is normal."

[multi_madrox]

"Beg pardon?" Jamie said looking confused. "We have waterslides on the sixth floor?"

[like_a_sponge]

"Apparently. There's a whole room of slides and ladders up there. It has to do with hypercubing," he replied, peering though the microscope.

"What the heck is a hypercube?" Jamie said looking puzzled.

[like_a_sponge]

"Physics thing. Has to do with being able to fit a lot more into one space than it should be physically possible." Greg shrugged. "You'd be better off asking Bridge or someone. I'm bio and chem guy."

"So there's a whole bunch of those hyper-things up on the sixth floor?" Jamie said. "That's pretty cool. Have they always been there?"

"I think someone said one of the students last term did it," Greg said. "And according to Isabel and Bridge, there are a bunch more - there's a giant room, and an anti-gravity room, and a room of clouds...."

"Huh. Sounds like a fun place," Jamie said taking a seat somewhere. "So where you from, Greg?"

"San Gabriel, California," he said promptly. "You?"

"New York City but I've lived in Kansas and Scotland for a while. What brings you to Fandom?"

Greg raised a brow at Jamie's former locations, but said nothing. "Um, my parents thought I needed to go to camp for the summer, and Mom liked this brochure. What about you?"

"Same thing really, I need to get up to speed on my education and they thought I'd do well here. It was either this place or a private school and that one didn't jazz me so much."

"How come you're behind?" Greg asked curiously.
